I had a membership with the ymca downtown. I only went twice in the month of december and wanted to stop my membership.

I forgot and they took the money from my account that wasnt even set up for them. I told them specifically that i had to pay with a check because im on disability. They took money from my bills account and when i called to tell them they werent supposed to do this and the lady sarah bellotti smurked and told me there was nothing i could do about this. They made my account overdrawn.

She told me to send an account cancellation so i did then after i told her i wouldnt be returning, in her reply she told me that i could still use the ymca for the next month. She said to me on the phone that i had to pay because she couldnt have me going there for free. I told her as clearly as i could that i could not and would not return. Clearly she has no compassion for someone who has made a mistake and needed that money for groceries.

Like i said im on disability fixed income and was in need of the 32 dollars that the ymca couldnt live without.

Thanks a lot. Watch out dont make a mistaje they will take your money even if it means going hungry god forbid you have children.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

you signed a contract with the YMCA that you will pay them in order to use their facility. You were the one who agreed on the terms and conditions.

You signed up knowing you couldnt afford it and wouldnt use it. You also probably didnt pay them on time so they withdrew the money. That is all on you. Do not blame an orginization for doing their job.

They are protecting theirselves by making you pay. If they let everyone get away with paying by check or cash, people would be robbing the place by using the facility and never paying and then never showing up again.

Your reasoning is only meant for people who don't think of other dilemmas. My guess is you haven't got the worries some people have.

Ill bet you have money and like trump too. I don't care too much about what you say. I've said what I wanted and its out there. And when I signed I had no idea because the evaluation of my disability wasn't final yet.

Yes I tried for two month or so to afford it and I'm sorry for that but I'm only aloud 800 a month for my disability and was just trying to be healthy so maybe I could add a few years to my life.

To no avail. Thanks for the smiling face thstsvspuys on a person when they are down.
